How to prepare
A few things that make the visit quicker and the results more reliable.
- Fast for 10 to 12 hours. Water is fine and you should drink it.
- Book a morning slot, since the day runs long and the fasting tests come first.
- Bring any previous reports, scans and your current medicine list.
- Take regular medication as usual unless your doctor has said otherwise, and mention diabetes medication when you book.
- Wear loose clothing with sleeves that roll up easily, and flat shoes for the treadmill test.
- Women should avoid booking the PAP smear during their period.
A health check-up is a screening tool, not a diagnosis. Any finding that needs following up will be explained to you during your consultation.
